What you are reading
Everything on WIR Signal Chain is written from experience at the desk; it is opinion, offered in good faith and without any guarantee. A plugin chain that flatters one mix may fight another; a driver that behaves on my machine may misbehave on yours. Settings, installers, and utilities change without warning. Treat what you read here as a starting point for your own listening tests, not as a promise about your results. If something sounds wrong, trust your ears over the page.
What you may do with the content
Quote it. Short excerpts with clear attribution and a link back are welcome; that is how useful studio talk travels. Print a page for your own session notes; fine. What is not fine is wholesale republishing, whether copied by hand or lifted by a scraper, and that includes feeding the text into content farms or reposting it behind your own masthead. Do not mirror the site, do not strip the attribution, and do not pass the writing off as yours. If you want to reference a longer passage in a class or a forum, quote the part you need and link to the rest.
Comments
Keep comments on the gear and on the argument. Disagree hard about a compressor; that is the point of the place. Do not post abuse, spam, or disguised advertising for your own products or services. Stay roughly on topic. I read what lands here and I remove what does not belong; no debate about that.
Liability
You use this site and anything described on it at your own risk. I accept no liability for lost sessions, corrupted projects, damaged hardware, wasted hours, or any other loss arising from following the advice published here or from using software mentioned on these pages. Back up before you install. If you need certainty about a driver or a plugin, ask its maker.
