Copyright and Takedown Requests

What we publish and what we own

Everything on wir-records.net that we wrote ourselves, from the plugin chain pieces to the driver and installer notes, belongs to us. You are welcome to read it, quote a line with a link back, and argue with it in your own space. You are not welcome to lift whole sections, republish the articles as your own, or feed the text into something that republishes it under another name. Fair quotation with attribution is fine; wholesale copying is not.

If you hold the rights to something on the site

Maybe a screenshot shows your interface, a sample pack file got described too generously, or an image is yours. You do not need to explain yourself at length. You do need to point at the exact page so we can find it without guessing. Send the URL of the specific article or file, not the homepage and not a search result. If the material sits halfway down a long piece, tell us what it is and where it appears.

What your notice needs to contain

State that you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner. Identify the work you believe is infringed. Identify the material on our site precisely, by URL and description. Give us a way to reach you, which we will use only to deal with this matter. say plainly that you believe the use is not authorised, and that the information in your notice is accurate to the best of your knowledge. A short, clear message does the job better than a long one assembled from a template.

How to send it and what happens next

Use the contact page to reach us; that is the reliable route and it reaches the person who can actually take an article down. Valid notices get handled quickly. We will remove or amend the material while we look into it, then reply to you with what we found and what we changed. If we think the claim is mistaken, we will tell you why rather than stall. Counter-notices are read the same way, by a person, not a queue.
